Audio Books is Love!

Last week, I was re-reading If I Stay because it was being shown on HBO. After I finished the book, I was looking for my copy of Where She Went but couldn't find it.  So I downloaded a copy, but it was in mp3 format.  I was about to delete it, but changed my mind.  On my way home from work, I played it while I was on the bus and plugged myself in! And I loved it! So that was how i discovered audio books.

So, I again looked for audio books but was only able to download m4b formats. So I downloaded this app from Google Play that plays that format and so, I am rereading, er, being read the Game of Thrones! So yeah, audio books is love!

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Despite my busy schedule, I still manage to squeeze in a few books over the last few months. I started and finished this book yesterday, since it was a relatively easy read and now, I am looking for the sequel.

I really should stop reading YA books since I cannot relate anymore, hahaha but this one is such an easy read. I thought this was a book of horror, but was pleasantly surprised that I was not as afraid (see, I am old!).  A good read, all in all.

You can find the plot here

2. My report for my HRM subject which is due tomorrow.
3. My marketing plan.
4. My flash report at work

But I choose to blog. Ha!

I Hate to Read!

I have a confession to make. I love to read, I really do.  But I read for pleasure and leisure and not for learning.  And it is a problem for me now because I am taking up a Research subject and part of my thesis requirement is Review of Related Literature: 10 books, 10 journals, 10 studies and 10 something else, for a total of 40 reading materials! And I hate it! And it was due last Saturday which I missed because of travel for work, and now I am cramming. And no, I haven't even started reading! Yeah, I am resisting because I do not like to read for this! Ugh! Talk about irony.

If I Stay and Where She Went by Gayle Forman

So I have a copy of the movie If I Stay, but since they always disappoint me big-time, I tried looking for the book first. And boy, was I surprised! It was very well-written, and so very touching.  I couldn't put down the book, even during my MBA class.  I was crying in some parts, thankfully not during class.  And I felt so bereft when I finished the book.
Then while I was waiting for my next class, I saw Where She Went and started reading.  I didn't know that it was a sequel, and when I read it, I felt that same tug in my heart for Mia and Adam. Oh my God, I love these books and I might just read it again.
Sorry, that really is not much of a review, but hey, I am gushing here so it must be good. And the movie? It was okay, but I loved the book maybe 10x more.
